4-H Aggie Adventures For Kids 
Summer Camps 2015

Come explore the wonderful, slimy, wet, magic and beautiful world of nature at the USU Botanical Center this summer! Each summer camp in our series is designed to a particular age group and is full of fun, hands-on experiments for investigating the world in which we live.

Camps are held at the Utah House. For questions about any camps or the Garden Members discount code, call (801) 544-3089. 

  • In addition to registering for each camp, all campers must be registered with 4-H (registration is free). To set up a new account, click here. 


You cannot use two discounts together. If two apply, please only pick one.

  • If you are registering two or more children for the same class, you can use the code 'Multiple' for 20% off.

  • Registered members can receive a 20% off discount for their children. Please use the code 'Member'.

Acorn Day Camps (5 to 7 years old)  

Our Acorn Day Camps are offered from 9am-12pm for our 5-7 year old campers. Registration includes snack, supplies and lots of fun!

Enchanted Garden Fairy Camp

Join us to play in our garden, learn about fairy folklore and explore the magic of plants.

When: Wednesdays, 9am-noon; June 24, July 29

Hobbit Holes

Come explore the different animal homes in the garden, learn about the burrowing creatures of Utah, and even create a natural habitat of your own.

Slimy, Gooey, Gross

Join us as we investigate worms, discover the world of insects, and create some slimy, gooey, and gross concoctions.

When: Wednesdays, 9am-noon; June 10, July 15

Pine Nut Day Camps (9 to 11 years old) 

Our Pine Nut Day Camps are offered from 10am-2pm for our 8 to 11 year old campers. Registration includes snack, supplies, and lots of fun. Campers are asked to bring their own lunch.

Trails, Treks and Treats (two day camp)

Ready for an adventure? Trails, Treks, and Treats will be sure to get you in survivor mode with things like orienteering,  shelter-building, and campfire cooking.

When: Thursday/ Friday, 10am-2pm; June 25-26, July 31-August 1

Wild Wilderness Art Camp (two day camp)

During this two-day camp, we’ll use nature as inspiration and create beautiful artwork of our own.

Mad Scientists: Concoctions and Contraptions

Budding scientists will explore chemical reactions and the laws of motion. Discover cool science tricks and how science can create some pretty spectacular treats.

When: Thursdays, 10am-2pm; June 11, July 30

Pirate Day (All Ages)

Ahoy matey! After creating some pirate garb, we will explore the ways we need (and play) with water. Come prepared to get wet!

Junior Master Gardener (for campers 8 to 14 years old)

Come and learn how fun it can be to grow your own food. The Junior Master Gardener classes will allow participants to grow vegetables from seed and watch them grow to the harvest. Students have fun and learn while working in the garden. Sign up for one or save some money and sign up for all 3 series

In the Green House
Tuesdays, 4PM-5PM March 11, 18, and 25
Come into the warm greenhouse where you will learn about planting seeds indoors and other requirements plants need to grow. Participants will plant and care for vegetables that will be transplanted in the Junior Master Garden later on in May.

Planting the Garden
Tuesdays, 4PM-5PM May 19,26 and June 2
Learn how to transplant and care for vegetables. During this session participants will be planting the Junior Master Garden and building trellises for our plants to climb on.

Reaping the Harvest
Tuesdays, 4PM-5PM September 1, 8, and 15
Participants will learn when vegetable are ripe for the picking as they harvest the Junior Master Garden. They will also discover creative and delicious ways to use the plants they have grown and help sell some produce and the Farmers Market.
