Trees of the Arboretum
The Varga Arboretum showcases trees and shrubs that are well-suited to Utah’s arid, mountain valleys. Currently, there are 300 different species highlighted and they are grouped in three hydrozones, or according to the amount of water they require.
Visit USU's Tree Browser, an interactive database, to find photos and descriptions of 245 tree species found in Utah and the Intermountain West, many of which are displayed in our arboretum. You can search the database by selecting from 21 characteristics.
